- When I read the SF Bay Guardian rant that Anil linked in his counter-rant, I was left with a foul taste in my mouth. Anil’s qualified and well-written response nails it better than many of us could have. The reason Anil recommended management from his old paper talk to Craig is the same reason Craig was asked to deliver the keynote at the AAN conference Tim attended.

- Mac Mini for Mom
30 Aug 2005
- Interesting report from Tim Bray about buying a Mac Mini for his Mom, and observing her use. Detail like this should not only be paid attention to by Apple, it should be rewarded. Even though some of it is what you’d expect, there’s info in here that Apple might not always gain from their own user testing. (via Daring Fireball)
- Reserved ID values in IE
30 Aug 2005
- Good notes from Eric on ID values to remember if running into unsolvable *IE Factor* weirdness.
- Movable Type 3.2
25 Aug 2005
- Gotta say, after testing and playing with the betas over the last month, 6A did a really nice job with the new MT3.2. Requires a little shift in thinking from the old way of doing things. But a much better organization and a huge new feature set make upgrading a logical and very beneficial choice.
