- Mac Mini for Mom
30 Aug 2005
- Interesting report from Tim Bray about buying a Mac Mini for his Mom, and observing her use. Detail like this should not only be paid attention to by Apple, it should be rewarded. Even though some of it is what you’d expect, there’s info in here that Apple might not always gain from their own user testing. (via Daring Fireball)
- Reserved ID values in IE
30 Aug 2005
- Good notes from Eric on ID values to remember if running into unsolvable *IE Factor* weirdness.
- Movable Type 3.2
25 Aug 2005
- Gotta say, after testing and playing with the betas over the last month, 6A did a really nice job with the new MT3.2. Requires a little shift in thinking from the old way of doing things. But a much better organization and a huge new feature set make upgrading a logical and very beneficial choice.

- Nate Weaver takes over the free Max OS X web page screenshot utility and fixes all kinds of bugs. Well worth updating to the new version. (via Daring Fireball)
- Fake blogs
10 Aug 2005
- I’ve been seeing this more and more often, even with comments on a blog, but the commenter’s URL points back to a fake blog. Glad to see effort behind squashing this. (via Photomatt)
- A standards truce in the browser war?
4 Aug 2005
- Story sheds light for those wondering on the new behind-the-scenes workings between Microsoft and The Web Standards Project.
- Mozilla Corp launches
3 Aug 2005
- Oh, this should make things interesting. Mozilla, all grownsed up. Makes sense from a logistics perspective as market share continues to increase.
