Cameron Adams thinks I need an excuse for a blog entry. As if 3 months off dried me up. (He also apparently thinks Eric could actually throw down enough to do any damage. Punk. Again, as if…) Well, OK, fine…

Four jobs I’ve had

  1. Hot dog cart. At the zoo. You don’t want to know where those dogs have been. Seriously.
  2. Dishwasher. King of the kitchen.
  3. Theater usher and janitor. Try ripping non-perforated tickets wearing slippery white polyester gloves. Also, it’s best to never see your local movie theater in full light.
  4. Fabric softener box-taper. The glue used on a shipment of 600,000 boxes of Snuggle wasn’t holding. So the shipping company bought a few cases of Scotch tape, and hired 8 temp workers at $6/hr to tape the boxes shut over 3 days. Ah, Temp days. Be jealous, be very jealous.

Four movies I can watch over and over

  1. Amélie
  2. The Bourne Identity
  3. The Godfather
  4. Apocalypse Now

Four places I’ve lived

  1. Delaware
  2. Columbus
  3. San Diego
  4. San Francisco

Four TV shows I love to watch

  1. Lost. We’re hooked.
  2. Late Night with Conan O’Brien. Funny.
  3. Good Eats. Zany, but fact-filled.
  4. Three’s Company. Childhood comfort show, with a bowl of mac & cheese, please.

Four places I’ve been on vacation

  1. Florence
  2. Paris
  3. Sydney
  4. Barcelona

Four of my favorite dishes

  1. round
  2. square
  3. inlaid
  4. paper

Four sites I visit daily

  1. CNN
  2. Flickr
  3. Google
  4. MacUpdate

What a boring list.

Four places I’d rather be right now

  1. Cinque Terre
  2. Whitsunday Islands. My own island, preferably.
  3. Jumping at Nevis Canyon. In a heartbeat, all over again.
  4. Home

Four bloggers I’m tagging

Oh, I think the evidence is pretty clear that I can totally throw down and bring the pain. Punk.

Oh, Eric. That’s not wincing in pain, it’s laughing at your feeble attempts to rip my head off. Hmm, at least I hope that’s what I was doing.

Ok, you’ve got me nervous. I live in Columbus and our family has a zoo membership. Should we avoid the hot dogs? :-9

In all seriousness, where did you work when you were here?

Jason, the cart was at the Columbus Zoo, dishwashing at an Italian cafe in Worthington Square named Umbertos which no longer exists, and the temp jobs were spread all around Columbus.

Avoid any hot dogs that you didn’t buy at the supermarket yourself. Actually, the sage advice is probably to avoid all hot dogs.

Why is nobody referring to 24 as the best tv show..tss

Cinque Terre is beautiful! I like Monterosso, it’s the best of both worlds.

I love Three’s Company too…are you a Roper or a Furley man?

Don Knotts as Furley was always a little too jumpy and wide-eyed for me. I like Stanley’s slyness. How could someone not love his huge smile to the camera after he says something only he thinks is amusing.

The Suzanne Somers controversy that booted Chrissy off the show was a bummer. Cindy was a horrible followup, and Terri wasn’t much better.

I have to agree with Karnapp. 24 is the most addicting show on television. Up until about 3 months ago I hadn’t seen a single episode, then one night we decided to rent one. Needless to say we burned through all 4 episodes that night and made it back to the video store minutes before it closed to get the next DVD. Ended up getting Netflix to feed the 24 addiction and keep the costs of renting down.

The thing that sucks is having to watch 24 week to week, one episode at a time, when we’re used to watching 3-4 episodes or more a night.

You must have been one of those annoying mimes that sneaks into theatres and imitates the usher.

Hi,

I’ve been in Cinque Terre (Italy). It’s a wonderful place. The photo album in Flickr that you’ve linked to is very representative of the place. It’s a one-all-day-walk along the shore, exhausting if you go from start to end.
The best is when you can stop an hour and swim in this beautiful sea.

PS : good to see you online ;-)

Nice idea to take 4 out of each.
LOST definitly is addictive!
Can stop to watch it, even if I live in Germany and they stoped after the first season… thanks to the Internet and BitTorrent.

By the way, your holiday vacations are well chosen!
Try London! If you like big citys, combined with old styles and a good cultural offers, London is your town!

Ah yes, Conan’s always funny. I love how he’s much more outward and quirky and random than the others. He’s my kinda funny.

If you liked Oz (the country not the show), you should definitely try South Africa.

Mr. Bowman, have you seen this classic already

http://imdb.com/title/tt0101700/ (same director Amélie Poulain but way way back)

Saw it when I was little.

Speaking of Amélie, try Dirty Pretty Things, also with Audrey Tautou. Now there’s a movie I could watch over and over 4 times over and over! Stay away from TV; it’ll rot your brain. I could name about 40 jobs I’ve had, but that would be really boring.
